Dr. Fox and Friends

Misk'i Takiy is the ceremonial name given to Gareth Michael Morgan, a recognised traditional healer, occasional shaman, songwriter and storyteller who weaves ancestral and modern wisdom teachings through his songs.

Many of Misk'i Takiy's songs are inspired by ancient healing traditions from around the world, traditions that he has lived in, and admires and draws support, guidance, and inspiration from.

After over a decade in continued apprenticeship to several great teachers of the ancestral paths of plant medicine and the exploration of consciousness; living, studying, and working with them in this arena, Misk'i decided to begin recording songs as a way of sharing medicine outside of the context in which they have been traditionally used, and thus be able to offer more support for others and, of course, enjoy the creative process and expansion of expression along the way.

His first album, El Lobo y la Luna was recorded in 2016 and released to coincide with the second Festival de Musica Medicina which is held close to Cusco in the Sacred Valley of the Incas every 2 years.

Much has taken place in this space of global uncertainty and unrest, polarization, pandemic and pandemonium.

However, through this, Dr. Fox and Friends, the follow-up album to El Lobo y la Luna has come to fruition.

Named so, as without the support and encouragement of friends for almost every aspect of the album, Dr. Fox and Friends could not have come to pass.
